Nelda Desroches of Memramcook East passed away at her residence on Friday, November 7, 2008 at the age of 102 and 9 months. Born on February 20, 1906 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Albert Melanson and the late Alvina Breau.
 She had a special smile to all who knew her and never asked for anything for herself but gave all the love and kindness to others first. To all who knew her, she will be truly missed. She was employed by Premier Louis Robichaud for 9 years and was a member of Golden Age Club of Pré-D'en-Haut.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna (late Norman) Dupuis of St-Joseph; one sister, Alice (late Phil) Blais of New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Ronald (Chantal), Linda (Donald), Serge (Maryse) and Nadia (Marty); six great grandchildren, Felix, Estelle, Roxanne, Sabrina, Finn and Colin and by several nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Isaïe Desroches; one daughter, Odette (Paul-Emile Saulnier); two sisters, Corinne and Dorilla and by seven brothers, Edgar, Aurele, Donat, Neri, Nap, Emery and Emile.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Sunday, November 9 and the Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic church, Memramcook East on Monday, November 10 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
